Pisa

Nice short train trip from Rome to Pisa. We planned on staying here for several nights because it was cheap and we needed to pass time (cheaply) before we go to Switzerland. Again, the hostel was easy to find and our dorm was nice and easy to settle into. Mandi took the bed without a bunk because sitting in a bed without a bunk is much easier to sit up strait. I am short enough that most times I can still sit up strait. Next, day we are off to find the leaning tower. Not hard  to find it is pretty much the only thing to sight see in the city. So we are walking up to the tower and we hear a familiar American voice…yelling and cussing about someone having a temper tantrum (we think it is a child or teenager) to find out later it is his mother in-law. It was honestly embarrassing and I wanted to tell him he was being a bad example for Americans but it would not have done any good. The tower was leaning and it was more fun watching people try to take pictures pretending to hold up the tower. We did have sun and it was great to just sit around and refill my solar panels (as Mandi says I do each time we see the sun). We were able to get a free pass to see the church then we chose to eat out a local pizzeria. Good soup but the waiter is the funniest when I ask for the check I pretend to write a check in the air and the waiter asks if I want his number, hehehe. I would have taken it but he is as old as my daddy, nope not going to happen. Mandi and I had several more days in Pisa and we have already conquered the city so we must get creative. I guess  with so much traveling and walking we just walk and walk and walk around the city. We did not want to try to go to any other place because there was nothing really close enough to make a day trip. We enjoyed our leisure. Then off again to Milan.
