Paris
OK, how hard is it to make a train go in the snow? Apparently, it is not an easy thing in France. It was not a problem in Norway, Sweden, Germany and so on. Our trains were late again because of snow so we had to wait on the platforms in the snow and wait for our next train. It is really difficult to understand why we had to wait outside on the platform in the cold but in France it is the only way. We finally make it to Paris and no you cannot see the Eifel tower from anywhere in Paris but we did find it. Free tours are awesome especially when you can decide how much the person deserves to get paid on a small budget. It had been a while since we had done a free tour but they are really nice to take if you are not staying long in one location. It makes it easy to find the big things because they are not always easy to find especially when there are tall buildings and narrow roads. I was very happy to be in the same place Jean Valjean was freed close to Norte Dame. I love the movie Les Miserable’s with Liem Neesan. I have not been able to see the new musical that came out. It was cold and there was snow on the ground but we could afford two days and we were going to make the best of it. So the first day we took the tour, went to the tower, gate and were going to go to the Luve because they would be closed the next day (Tuesday, just incase anyone was wondering). We did not make the museum or we arrived but only had 30 minutes and it would not be worth the cost. So sorry for those who wanted us to go but at least we made the Vatican. If the question arises yes we did walk to most of our locations as we have done everywhere else, only exceptions were if our hostel was more than a 30 minute walk from our first desired location. We normally walked about six to eight hours a day and no my legs are not strong just saggy from all the weight I have lost on this trip. =o( I do not know about Mandi but my goodness that girl can walk fast. We stayed out late to take pics of the monuments at night and went back to our hostel, had dinner (we bought sandwiches from the store), packed and prepared to leave for Rotterdam.
