On Wednesday I picked Ana up from the airport - and they had lost her bags. Never fear, the bag was delivered the next day before noon. So life was good. We spent a couple of days with my friends Ally and Peter. We went to a cafe for dinner - and we met a very friendly gay man named Mike. Mike thought that Ana and I were together... like a couple... which was seriously hilarious because we didn't feel like correcting the drunk gay man. It cracks me up that too many people jump to that conclusion. So for the record - Ana and I are not a couple!!! We are friends - and it's really funny that I have to start making that distinction with my female friends, because I used to have to make that distinction with my male friends. You have to laugh at life, and other people because otherwise it will drive you crazy!
So now we're staying with my friend Anne before we head out on Monday - she is going to be taking care of my car (Big Sexy) while I'm gone. We've had so much fun hanging out, day drinking and chatting. We're going into the city today (Washington, DC) to see the spy museum!!! And we've spent the morning drinking coffee and watching the big bang theory. Life is good, very very good!
It's officially official - we are heading for Europe on Monday! HOLY CRAP!!! We booked our first hostel in Frankfurt, Germany and then plan on heading up to Copenhagen, Denmark for a 3 days, then we'll be heading down to Bulgaria to see Dad and Carole in Sofia. We do have an app on the phone for the Eurail which will be very helpful, we also have an app that'll help with the translating.
I (Ana) am having a great time with Mandi's friends they are just as awsome as she is. It is not as cold as I thought it would be here and super excited about Monday.
