Ana from Barcelona "bassakwards"
Barcelona
Another beautiful Spanish city. We arrived at a nice hostel and pull out our wet stinky clothes to wash. Yea, there is a washer AND dryer and we can do the laundry ourselves. Poor Mandi had her boots wet in Fatima and had to wear her shower shoes from Lisbon to Barcelona then still had to put them in the dryer. Happy our clothes are washed and get some rest before the next day of free touring. We go thru the Gothic tour in Barcelona showing the buildings and learning the history. Saw some beautiful churches and even street dancers.
Side note, in most cities we have been to on our trip we have been in search for protein mixes. I had surgery last February to help with weight loss but to keep me from loosing to much muscle I am suppose to take whey protein isolate this is not an easy product to find in Europe either because they do not have enough fat people to have need for that kind of surgery or we have not gone to the right places. Language barrier is also an issue. Yes, I do speak Spanish but I speak Mex-Tex and Spain is proper Spanish or Castilian. Mandi has been very gracious to help me look and patient when I don’t have it because my energy level is low to nothing if I do not have it. On a good note I have lost 100 pounds since the surgery! I could have never done this trip if I had not done it, thank you Honda and good insurance. The next day we went for search of Gaudi park and we found the back way in so we overshot our stop and went in “bassakwards.” We actually were about to give up when we realized where we should be. Beautiful park once we saw what we were looking for. =o) Exhausted when we got back to the hostel but we had to prepare for our next train trip. Marseilles.
